The 2013 Bike Athlos was a charity ride event aiming to raise funds for the support and promotion of the goals of the Road Safety Institute “Panos Mylonas”, such as the prevention and reduction of traffic accidents, combined with the promotion of the cultural heritage of Greece.
The Route
The event took place mainly in the geographical area of Peloponnesus. The cyclists started in the city of Megara, Attica on the 23rd of May 2013, rode through the cities of Patras, Ancient Olympia, the eminent city of Sparta and finished after 590km and 6460m of ascend in the picturesque city of Nafplio on the 26th of May 2013.
